My Training Philosophy
Scientifically backed, reward based training that works.
There are a lot of people out there that call themselves dog trainers. Unlike other professions, there are no licensing boards or tests required to call yourself a dog trainer. For that reason, it can be tricky to navigate through all the fancy marketing and buzz words to find a trainer that really knows what they are doing.

I've spent years studying my craft. While there are no legal requirements to be a dog trainer in the United States, there are different respected organizations that certify trainers in order to give consumers peace of mind that the professional they choose to help them has learned a great deal about how behavior, and dog training specifically, works. They want their professionals to stay up to date with the science of behavior and to regularly take continuing education as a part of maintaining their certification. They also require the professional to agree to certain codes of ethics. This is why finding a certified trainer is so important and why I am so proud to be certified under the CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers®).
When you work with a professional with science, morals, integrity, and respect for the humans and animals they work with behind everything they do, you will feel the difference.
